4. Ian Curtis

Ian Kevin Curtis was the lead singer as well as the lyricist of the band Joy Division. Most of his works revolve around loneliness, emptiness and a sense of desolation. The band had put out only two albums, namely, Unknown Pleasures and Closer and it was during the tour of his second album that Curtis decided to commit suicide. Curtis suffered from both depression and epilepsy and therefore, took his life in 1980.
