Robert Lawrence Welch Jr. was a member of the Fleetwood Mac until he decided to fly solo and made a whole lot of name for himself. Welch’s signature song is “Sentimental Lady.” It’s worth remembering that there was a huge controversy when Welch’s name was not included in the Hall of Fame when other member’s name was included. In 2012, Welch committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest. He has undergone a spinal surgery and was told that he’d never fully recover. He didn’t want to be an invalid and a burden and therefore killed himself.
