At number six comes 38-year-old American retired professional basketball player Jason Collins. Time include Collins in its list of ‘100 Most Influential People In The World’ in 2014. He came out as gay after the 2012-13 NBA season ended. He became the first openly gay athlete to play in any of four major North American pro sports leagues when he signed with the Nets in 2014. He has played for Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, New Jersey Nets, Brooklyn Nets, Memphis Grizzlies, among others. He currently is in a relationship with film producer Brunson Green.
