3. Essaouira, Morocco (Astapor)

Located on the shores of the Atlantic, Essaouira is a Moroccan city, and its name suggests “the little rampart” referring to the walls of the fortress that serves an enclosure to the city. One of many Game of Thrones filming locations, we saw Daenerys walking along the shores where people were crossed. The city is pretty old and is said to date back to the prehistoric times because of the artifacts that have been recovered over the years.
